- Senior Architectural Designer / Architect
Description
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer / Architect with proven experience in multifamily housing, including affordable housing and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) projects. The ideal candidate can independently produce complete construction documents in Revit, manage client and agency communication, and lead projects from design development through construction without supervision.

The ideal candidate can independently develop coordinated construction documents in Revit, communicate effectively with clients and consultants, and help carry projects from schematic design through construction.

Key Responsibilities
Lead projects from design development through construction administration, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
Develop complete construction document sets including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and specifications.
Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, civil) and manage interdisciplinary integration within Revit models.
Communicate directly with clients, presenting design concepts, managing expectations, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Manage project schedules, deliverables, and internal workflows to ensure timely completion.
Perform code research, zoning analysis, and compliance documentation.
Oversee construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and punch lists.
Mentor junior staff in drafting, modeling, and project coordination as needed.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Advanced Revit proficiency, including family creation, detailing, and coordination workflows.
5–10+ years of architectural experience, with demonstrated ability to independently produce construction documents.
Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting directly with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and detailing.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain organized documentation.
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
Preferred Qualifications
Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure. (Preferred but not required)
Experience with multifamily residential projects and projects funded by the LIHTC.
Familiarity with additional tools such as Bluebeam, Forma, TwinMotion, Adobe Creative Suite & MS Office Suite.
Experience managing teams and mentoring junior designers.
LEED accreditation or other sustainability certification such as WELL AP, CPHC, or Enterprise Green Communities experience.
Comfortable working in a high-growth environment where roles evolve and new opportunities emerge
Experience with affordable housing agencies (PHFA, NJHMFA, HUD or similar regulatory bodies)
